Gold Sovereigns

We have produced this photo gallery with the sole purpose of showing how delightfully captivating gold sovereigns can be. We do stress however, as enjoyable as looking at pictures of sovereigns can be, the real magic can only be fully experienced when holding a physical sovereign in your hand. Physical gold on it's own is a extraordinary metal that many a man thou out history has died for. Combine this with the momentous depths of history sovereign coins boast and you start to get a true picture of just how wonderful these 22 carat gold coins really are.

A really nice 1860 rare victorian sovereign. One of the first of the Queen Victoria young head Sovereigns in EF condition. If you look at the picture you can see the 0 is larger than the other numbers.

A 1931 George V full sovereign with a SA (Pretoria, South Africa) mint mark. Featuring the classic Saint George slaying a dragon design which still remains on gold sovereigns today more than two hundred year after first been introduced in 1817.

A scarce William IV shield gold half sovereign coin dated 1835. Some wear can be seen on the shield side of this delightful gold coin.

A quality high grade 1857 Queen Victoria full sovereign which is listed as rare.
Minted in Sydney Australia, made from 22 carat gold with a diameter of 22mm and
weighting in at 7.98g.

Obverse and reverse pictures of a fine grade 1817 King George III full gold sovereign. The obverse side of this particular sovereign shows a portrait of King George III with a laurel wreath on his head. Around the sides are the words “Georgius III D:G: Britanniar: Rex: F:D” and it shows the year of production at the bottom. Made from 22 carat gold with a diameter of 22mm and weighting in at 7.98g.
